I sent my audiobook of The Handyman out for some critique and to check for any mistakes. I have a few small things I need to fix, which I hope to get to tonight. Next week the audiobook should be live, and I’ll send it out to my current subscribers.
I’m making another cover for Hammer and Wails, which I think will be more immediately appealing for new readers. It gives a better sense of the type of story by using some western themed fonts, and it s little funnier. My hope is that people will see it and think: what the heck is that about? Then they’ll click it to find out. The only trouble is…I’ll have to update The Handyman’s cover as well, so the branding matches. I have an idea, but it’s much more involved than the one I’m currently using, and it will take me significantly more time to make.
I was hoping to hire a professional illustrator to make the covers for me, but I’m currently not in a position to spend a small fortune, so I’m stuck doing it myself much much more slowly. It’s looking pretty good though.
